Dan here to answer a few questions about the Enchanted Fairies 2014 Calendar, how it works, and all that good stuff. Every year I host a calendar event that benefits an organization whose mission is close to my heart. With the help of the wonderful people in our community, we have been able to donate over $45,000 to organizations such as Children’s Medical Center and Frisco Family Services. This marks the third year for the calendar and I am absolutely thrilled to be partnering with the North Texas Food Bank.

What is this all about?

With your $25 donation to the North Texas Food Bank you will receive one FREE photo session and FREE limited edition 8 x 10 enchanted portrait from Enchanted Fairies Studio. 100% of the proceeds benefit the North Texas Food Bank.

The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit relief organization which leads the fight against hunger with knowledge-based strategies to distribute donated, purchased, and prepared foods through a network of feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. NTFB supports the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through research, education, advocacy and strategic partnerships. In 2012, they provided access to more than 47 million nutritious meals, a 45% increase year-over-year. Founded in 1982, the year 2013 marks NTFB's 31st anniversary. How does it work?

The Enchanted Fairies Calendar is broken down into 3 phases. Photo Sessions, Online Voting, and Calendar Sales. 100% of the proceeds we raise from all 3 phases will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank.

Photo sessions will take place at our new studio location inside the Valley View Mall located at 13331 Preston Rd. Ste. 1140 Dallas, TX 75240. When you arrive at the mall please park in the JCPenney's parking lot. Walk into the mall through JCPenney and you will immediately see the children's playground. Go past the playground and we are on the left hand side before the carousel. You can click the address for directions. Sessions will wrap up on June 30th, 2013.

On July 1st, contestants will be entered in our on-line voting contest. In this phase, you can recruit family & friends to vote for your Child! $1 per vote with a $5 minimum and you can vote as many times as you want. Online voting will end on July 31st, 2013.

Winners will be announced August 15th, 2013 and the 13 children with the most votes will be featured in our 3rd Annual Charity Calendar. The grand prize winner will receive a $3,000 prize package.

Can I photograph more than one child?

Absolutely! Many of our sessions involve entire families and kids. Brothers and sisters are more than welcome to take photos together. A $25 donation applies for each child. You can either enter an image of your children together or separately into the online voting phase.

What are the age requirements for a session?

Your child must be between the ages of 0-16 to participate. Our calendar last year featured children of all ages. The girls will be transformed into enchanted fairies, boys into mighty warriors, and then transported into a magical forest right before your eyes.

How long does a photo session take?

You should plan for a session to take about 30 minutes per child. After your session is completed, we will schedule a photo premiere so that you can view your images and select your FREE Limited Edition 8 x 10 enchanted portrait.

What do I have to bring?

We provide all the costumes, wings, accessories, and props for your storybook session. If you would like to have your child's hair done, we ask that you do so before the session. For girls, make sure they have a pair of shorts to wear under the dress.

What's the cancelation notice?

The session fee is due at the time you schedule your portrait session. Your appointment cannot be reserved until the session fee is paid. Due to our limited schedule, session fees are non refundable but may be applied towards a rescheduled session with a 48-hour cancellation notice.

What is this all about?

With your $25 donation to Jonathan’s Place you will receive one FREE photo session and FREE limited edition 8 x 10 enchanted portrait from Enchanted Fairies Studio. 100% of the proceeds benefit Jonathan’s Place. I’m extremely excited to be working with this fantastic organization.

The mission of Jonathan’s Place is to provide a safe, loving home and specialized services for children who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected. Since 1991, they have been providing shelter for these special North Texas children.

Their mission is currently fulfilled by the following programs: The Emergency Shelter, Residential Girls Treatment Program, and Foster & Adoptive Family Program. Mermaid and Pirate Photo Sessions are finally here!

Frisco Family Services is a non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent hunger, prevent homelessness, and promote self-sufficiency in the community. Every year I select a charity to work with whose values align with my own and hold a charity calendar event in their benefit. This year, I’m extremely excited to be working with FFS.

How does it work?

The Enchanted Fairies Calendar is broken down into 3 phases. Photo Sessions, Online Voting, and Calendar Sales. The amount we raise from all 3 phases will be donated to Frisco Family Services.
