At Enchanted Fairies, we believe every child has a little magic inside them — and sometimes, we’re lucky enough to meet kids whose light absolutely radiates. Jake and Jordan are two of those kids.
Seven years ago, their family’s world changed when the twin brothers were diagnosed with Pompe disease — a rare genetic condition that affects the muscles. Their parents, Lauren and Justin, were suddenly faced with big, scary questions about the future. Would they grow up with the same opportunities as other kids?
The road ahead wasn’t clear — but what was clear was Jake and Jordan’s incredible spirit.
Every two weeks, these two brave boys undergo enzyme replacement therapy. It’s a lengthy process — up to seven hours of IV treatment at a time — and it means missing school, fun activities, and sometimes even family gatherings. But through it all, Jake and Jordan have faced their challenges with resilience, humor, and heart.
So when we heard their story, we knew exactly how we wanted to celebrate them — as the warriors they truly are.
A Magical Moment with Enchanted Fairies
Their session at Enchanted Fairies was filled with laughter, imagination, and a little bit of pixie dust. Dressed in our custom warrior gear, Jake and Jordan were transformed into epic heroes — though let’s be honest, they already were. We were honored to create a one-of-a-kind portrait for their family — something magical they can cherish forever.
While spending time with their mom Lauren, we were also touched to hear about the community she’s found online — a network of other families walking similar paths, lifting each other up with love, encouragement, and shared wisdom. It was a reminder that even in tough circumstances, there’s so much light, connection, and hope.
